Does it need Wi-Fi at the gate?
No. The outdoor sensor communicates directly with the indoor hub over its own wireless link.
Gate & Entrance Alerts
An entrance can be far from the house and beyond your router. Reporter AI puts motion detection and image verification at the gate, then brings the alert indoors over its own long-range wireless link.
Place the sensor to observe people and vehicles as they approach the entrance. Aim at the area you want to monitor and test detections before fixing the mounting position. Reporter alerts you to activity; it does not open or control the gate.
Keep the hub where someone can hear and see the alert. A captured still image helps explain what arrived. You can choose relevant target types instead of treating every type of activity as equally important.
Tested open-air wireless range at 1000 m. Actual range depends on terrain, structures, interference, mounting, and line of sight.
Connect the indoor hub to Wi-Fi internet to receive free app alerts and images. No Wi-Fi is required at the gate sensor. Without a connected hub, the system continues to provide local alerts indoors.
