Can it work on a farm without internet?
Yes, for local alerts from sensors to the indoor hub. Receiving alerts on your phone away from the property requires an internet-connected hub.
Remote Property & Farms
A farm or rural property has more to watch than a front door. Reporter AI brings activity from lanes, barn approaches, and equipment areas to one indoor hub, without extending Wi-Fi to every outdoor sensor.
Start with the places where an alert helps you act: arriving vehicles on a lane, people approaching equipment, or animals entering a monitored area. Use the target types relevant to each location and check framing with actual captured images.
One hub supports up to 25 sensors. Keep it in a suitable indoor location where alerts will be noticed. Each sensor needs a working wireless path to that hub; adding sensors does not remove the need to check range and obstacles.
Tested open-air wireless range at 1000 m. Actual range depends on terrain, structures, interference, mounting, and line of sight. The sensor still needs to reach its hub. For phone alerts from an unattended property, the hub needs power and a working Wi-Fi internet connection. Reporter does not provide an independent cellular connection.
Outdoor sensors are designed for 5–7 years of normal use at up to 10 triggers per day, with approximately 30,000 transmitted images. A busy work area or animal route may produce more events, so choose placement with activity and maintenance in mind.

They can. The tested 1000 m figure is open-air range; terrain, structures, interference, mounting, and line of sight affect actual coverage.
Reporter has no monthly subscription for local alerts or optional app alerts. Additional sensor hardware is purchased separately.
